An ongoing photographic record of contemporary everyday life across the United States: its people, places, rituals, and ordinary moments.
The work is rooted in curiosity and observation rather than explanation or judgment. Having come to the United States in 2011 and chosen to make it my home, I photograph the country as someone who is part of it, but still curious enough to keep looking closely.
I photograph what I encounter without prescribing what it should mean, trusting that, as the observations accumulate over time, something of America will reveal itself.
I am not starting with an answer about America. I am starting with America.
